http://192.168.1.20:8096at home or your own domain from outside. - Sign in with your Emby username and password.
Using a self-signed certificate? Tuvora shows it once and asks you to confirm, then trusts that certificate for that server only.
Get it on your device
- Android TV / Google TV — open the Downloader app and type 5040595, or get the TV APK. The Google Play version of the TV app doesn't include media servers yet.
- Fire TV / Fire Stick — Downloader code 5040595.
- Android phone or tablet — Google Play or the APK. Both include Emby.
- iPhone, iPad and Apple TV — the TestFlight beta. Accept it on your iPhone and it appears in TestFlight on the Apple TV signed in with the same Apple ID.
- Desktop — Mac, Windows or Linux (beta).
Why use Tuvora with it
- A real TV interface on Android TV and Apple TV, built for the remote rather than a stretched phone layout.
- One app for Emby, Jellyfin and IPTV playlists, instead of a separate player for each.
- Plays the files as they are — MKV, HEVC, multiple audio and subtitle tracks — on every platform.
- Free, no ads, and the source is public.
Also running Jellyfin? See the Jellyfin player page — same app, same setup.
Questions we get
Is Tuvora an official Emby app?
No. Tuvora is an independent player that connects to your Emby server. It reads your libraries through Emby's own API, so nothing on the server needs changing.
My server uses a self-signed certificate. Will it work?
Yes. Tuvora shows the certificate the first time you connect and asks you to confirm it. After that it trusts that exact certificate for that server, and nothing else.
Do I have to sign in again on every device?
Your server's address follows your Tuvora account, so it appears on your other devices. Your Emby password and sign-in token never leave the device, so each device asks you to sign in to the server once.
Which Android TV version has it?
The full build from the Downloader app (code 5040595) or tuvora.co/tv. The Google Play version of the TV app doesn't include media servers yet. On phones and tablets, both the Play version and the APK have Emby support.
Can I use Emby and IPTV playlists together?
Yes. Emby libraries sit alongside M3U, Xtream Codes and Stalker playlists in the same app, and you can add an Jellyfin server too.
Bring your own server
Tuvora is a player. It connects to the Emby server you run and provides no content of its own.
