Tuvora — Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 10, 2026 · Applies to the Tuvora and Tuvora TV apps.
Tuvora is a media player. It ships with no content: you play media from sources you configure yourself — your own playlists and subscriptions. This policy explains what data the apps handle and why.
Data you give us — only if you create an account
An account is optional. Everything works without one; an account only adds cross-device sync. If you sign up we store:
- Email address and password (the password is stored only as a secure hash).
- Synced app data: your profiles, watch progress and watched history, library and collections, home-screen preferences, followed sports leagues, and the playlist configurations you choose to sync — including the source URL and the credentials for that playlist, so your other devices can connect to it. This data is stored on our servers, is only readable by your account, and is deleted when you delete your account.
Data collected automatically
- Usage analytics and crash reports (PostHog): anonymous usage events, app version, device model and OS version, and crash logs. Used solely to fix bugs and improve the apps. We do not use advertising identifiers.
Where your traffic goes
- Your media sources: playlists and streams are fetched directly from the sources you configure. We never see or proxy that traffic.
- TMDB: movie and TV metadata/artwork is fetched from themoviedb.org. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
- Sports schedules: fixture and live-score data comes from TheSportsDB via our server-side cache. No personal data is attached to those requests.
What we don't do
- No ads, no ad tracking, no advertising SDKs.
- We never sell or share your personal data with third parties.
- No content is hosted, provided, or promoted by Tuvora.
Data deletion
You can delete your account and all synced data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account in the app, or by following the steps on the account deletion page. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
Children
Tuvora is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
